Joy

This is a sweet photo of my friend's daughter on their traditional trip to the Christmas Tree farm to find 'The One'. I have to say my Christmas Trees were inspired by Beggahuna's christmas_sketch_2. I used a heart from my George Cart and turned them upside down. I 'flocked' the trees and mat with white ink. I strung red beads on wire and added red and gold gems for decorations.

Precious Moment

This photo was taken a few hours after my daughter was born. She looked so sweet and innocent. I have been wanting to use white paper, feathers, these rhinestone accents, and this ribbon & bow for a while. I had never thought of combining all these elements on one layout until today.

Adhesive

Over the years, I have used many different adhesives...I have to say at the moment my favorite would be this gel adhesive by Martha Stewart.  I found that if I gently squeeze the bottle, a fine mist comes out, which works perfectly when working with small items such as letters.  My experience with glue writing pens, usually turn into a nightmare.  The letters want to stick to my hands or the glue pen.  I even tried the gel on ribbon and that works great also!  My latest project included applying small detailed letters to glitter paper.

the Jungle Walk

This flocked giraffe pp from The Paper Studio was perfect for this photo...I love using eyelets and they came in pretty handy when it came time to put the photo on this pp...

12x12 Christmas Card Holder

This idea was inspired by Jen Fletcher's "Love Letters 2010" Valentine Pocket Holder from Scrapbook.com. I used Bazzill Paper for my pocket and attached it to the background paper with mini silver brads. I also strung beads on wire and attached to the pocket. Added Christmas themed stickers, a silver bow, and a little bling. I have always wondered what to do with all my old photo Christmas cards (since I do not throw out any old photos). I have always thought about just scrapping them, but I have so many of them-this is the perfect solution!!

A few of my favorite layouts...

Occasionally, you have that moment when you have 'finished' a layout and you can say "I'm done!"....for me, these are a few of those layouts...99% of the time, when I put the 'final' touches on, I still feel, it needs something else...I am happy to say these are complete and I wouldn't change a thing!

Let's Fight....not really...

I had to do this layout of my brother and his oldest daughter 'fighting'....fun picture... I always end up with girly pages no matter how hard I try to put a little masculinity in them...this LO was no different...I tried toning it down by using a little ink and distressing and of course the brads.

One of my few attempts with digital scrapping...

Everything except the journaling came from digital images. The background I made by taking a photo of a sheet of scrap paper.  The title and flower I 'lifted' from other paper layouts I made.  I added text boxes for the journaling.  I usually spend hours designing and creating my paper layouts...digital scrapping was no different.  I did learn that I get much more enjoyment working with texture of actual paper and 'real' embellishments.
